Did you know that we make maple syrup as well? During winter, the rush on our farm slows down a bit so we have found some hobbies to keep us busy. Syrup boiling all started as an intriguing hobby two years ago. That year we collected enough sap to make around 7 gallons of syrup. Keeping up with the times on Paynter Family Organic Farm
To keep up with recently changed laws and environmental policies, we had a manure storage barn built this past month. The barn will actually serve two purposed for us. We plan on filling it with round bales during the summer to keeo the hay at a higher quality. As the winter goes on and bales are fed to the cattle, we will have room to fill with manure from the barns over the winter.
